ChikaLicious

“Art and ice cream merged! Seriously, the creativity is off the charts and the unique 3 course desserts are unforgettable. The next time you waiter asks if you want dessert, say no and rush to Chikalicious for what the doctor ordered.” daz9nyc

I had tried Blackhound, a cake-oriented bakery, on 2nd Ave. and 14th St. once before and been disappointed. Today I decided to give it one more chance, and stopped in to order a miniature rum cake. 1) East Village: Chikalicious, which bills itself as 'New York's first' dessert bar, is getting a younger sister across the street in the form of one Chikalicious Pudding. The debut is scheduled for November, and from the looks of it, that might actually happen. The above is Kalina-brand plywood...

This East Village dessertery sets the bar high. The joint that kicked off the dessert bar trend in 2003, ChikaLicious is as good as watching a friend whip up magic in her kitchen while you get to prop yourself up at the counter with a glass of sherry or a cup of chamomile. As you sit back and rela...

Innovative mixes, fresh ingredients. Great paired dessert drinks. Always a line.

I've gone here about 3 times. It's a treat but it gets tiring after a while to just eat desserts.

Moving in June
Mar 12 06
They have finally decided to expand and spread the love a little more. I hope it does not lose its charm. There was something about fighting your way onto the list and waiting on a stoop next store killing 30 minutes in the cold, hehe. They move across the street in June.
