More About Lupa Osteria Romana...

Thirteen ways of looking at a pig

Lupa Osteria Romana
Great for a cozy, leisurely dinner with friends. Last night began with cured meats, followed with sausage and broccoli rabe over orechiette, and finished with pork arista, seared with a thick fat cap. Though very porcine, the meal highlights were pasta (as usual here) and an extraordinary special porcini mushroom "salad" topped with raw egg yolk. Porcinis were in thick tender slices, earthy, pungent, complex and almost meaty. Service is warm and accommodating. I'd like to see a greater variety of desserts. And a greater number of bathrooms.
