I enjoyed the dishes we tried and "I shall return"! Doesn't feel like midtown. So glad to have this and Crave within walking distance from me. We should have more of this kind of restaurant around. It makes the neighborhood more vibrant and exciting.

Food, ambience, presentation and service were top notch. It is a humbler version of his first NYC restaurant Alain Ducasse at the Essex House because it did not have the bells and whistle it had - the little goodie bag with a take-home sample to eat for snack or breakfast, and a copy of the French Fine Hotels book to the cart of assorted cheese and homemade candies which definitely was an elegant and pampered lifestyle. Nevertheless, Adour is beautifully nested in elegance and formal setting. It is priced better with a choice of a la carte or prix-fixe menu which offers a wider variety for diners. In a way it's comforting to be able to return more often to dine at such a restaurant without being obligated to have only a prix-fixe menu. Without a doubt, this restaurant will be more popular.

Definitely a special occasion destination. It was my birthday so they accommodated my request to have the raspberry souffle for dessert with my prix-fixe menu instead of the fresh strawberry dessert. Every dish is a work of art and delicious with very light flavor-intense sauces. The flavor is clean but intense. The seasonings were well calculated - nothing was salty or bland. The service was attentive and friendly. Artfully presented and delicious yet there was some simplicity about it. It is not as pump-and-circumstance as the first Alain Ducasse he openned in NYC a few years ago. But just as delicious. I do miss the little French Hotel book and snack bag to take home.
